As the Coronavirus continues to wreak havoc on our daily lives, the Freight business continues, barely. Most airlines have now canceled at least 50% of their flights and limited destinations to a minimum. Shipping lines have also canceled sailings around the world so containers are limited..

Flight cancelations also mean less airfreight cargo moving so this is affecting all customers. We understand also that many of you have containers on ships coming into Dubai from China, and other countries, which may or may not be allowed to dock. Please keep in constant contact with our office for updates.

One thing that customers might not be aware of is that there are limited numbers of empty containers in ports around the world. Sometimes shipping lines reposition their empties to make them available for Freight Forwarders and customers to use. However, at this time, there may not be enough to load freight in Dubai or other ports.

Once everything gets back to normal the backlog of freight will be moved but it will take some time to be at the stage it was before the virus struck. Please make sure you contact our office if you have any questions. We will also update you as we get more answers.
