When it comes to importing, JJS International Freight is your first choice for customs clearance. Our fully automated system is linked to UAE customs to make your import a simple transaction.
Any import shipment can be pre-cleared 24 hours before arrival with the right information. That means, once released by the customs system, we can pick up the freight as soon as it is available and deliver direct to your door the same day it arrives.
If a shipment is scheduled for examination by customs, JJS has the necessary team on hand to deal with an inspection on our client’s behalf. Once cleared from customs and available it can be delivered direct to your door.
It should be noted that some products require additional documents and preapproval depending on hs code.
Importing products from overseas is never an easy task. JJS can simplify this process by helping a client find the correct HS code numbers for UAE customs clearance. The wrong HS code could mean an importer pays more duty than necessary. This is where the JJS expertise comes in.
We will require the following compulsory documents for UAE Customs clearance:
- An original Bill of Lading or telex release.
- An original packing list
- An original Invoice
- An original certificate of origin
Once clearance is effected and in process, customs duty can be paid through our online system and a receipt provided.
If a client has duty exempt status, has an industrial license, or the shipment is from a country that is exempt from duty, JJS Customs services can guide the client on the necessary paperwork required.
VAT will need to be paid on all shipments. An importer can be set up directly with the Federal Tax authority, or JJS can pay it on the client’s behalf.
Once you become a regular customer with JJS you’ll find that clearance becomes easier. Make sure you call us as soon as you know there’s a shipment on its way. We’re looking forward to handling your import shipments.
