How do you get a 200 tonne crane moved? By chartering a ship and taking the crane apart in pieces to make it fit onto the vessel.
How do you airfreight a horse? Put it in a special box built for equine transport and call the vet for a transport certificate. Then call a special horse carer to travel with the horse.
We’ve done it all before. No project is too difficult for JJS.

JJS International Freight Services is a leading expert in working with odd sized dimension freight, also known as OOG (Out Of Gauge). No matter that there are thousands of containers available to move specific dimension cargo, there’s always something that doesn’t fit.
Each shipping line has certain container sizes, without sides or without tops, that fit cargo into a specific category. They even have an area on each ship for loose freight that is affixed to the deck.
Each cargo airline has a specific area within the cargo hold to accommodate odd shaped pieces. All freight has to sit on “cookie sheets” which hold the cargo in place and make it easy to roll freight from one end of the aircraft to the other.
Nothing is a problem to move, and JJS has the necessary cargo professionals available to contact airlines or shipping lines to get cargo ready to move to its final destination.

OUR TWO MOST RECENT EXCITING PROJECTS
We’ve had two recent large projects. One was from Shanghai, China to Baku in Azerbaijan via Singapore, Dubai and Bander Abbas in Iran. The other shipment was also from Shanghai, China, but its destination was Africa, to Mombasa, Kenya and Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania.
24000 DRUMS FROM CHINA TO AZERBAIJAN
The first shipment to Azerbaijan consisted of 24,000 drums of Chemicals in 300 containers which weighed approximately 100 metric tonnes.
This unique order meant we had to plan months in advance to make sure there were 300 containers available, and then move them on two different sailings. A modern container ship can take anywhere from 12-20,000 containers, but just because it has space does not mean it would be easy to coordinate 300 in one go. This was a difficult move for JJS but our experienced personnel coordinated the shipment to make sure it arrived on time and under budget.
CHINA TO AFRICA
150 CONTAINERS OF ELEVATORS FROM SHANGHAI TO KENYA AND TANZANIA.
The other shipment we moved from China to Africa consisted of 150 containers of elevators to companies in Mombasa, Kenya and Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. It took the best part of three months to coordinate all the containers and move them in tandem from the supplier to the ship in Shanghai. Transit time from Shanghai to Dubai was 23 days where the shipment was transloaded onto another vessel for delivery to Mombasa. The transit time for these 150 c0ntainers from door to port Dubai was 30 days. It then took another seven days for transhipment and eight days sailing time from Jebel Ali port to Mombasa directly. In total 45 days from door to port. As part of the shipment was moved from Mombasa to Dar Es Salaam by road it added another 7 days after discharge.
All in all a very successful movement and a very happy client.
